Could there be a better slogan for one of Tallinn’s wine hotspots - eat well, laugh often, love much? At Pazzo they practice what they preach! Oysters, snacks and tapas-styled sharing plates are on offer combined with one of the most brilliantly selected and at the same time unpretentious wine lists not only in Estonia, but Baltic countries too!
For those of you still scared of wine, there’s a very impressive by-the-glass list, offering a very insightful selection to both classics (Bordeaux’s Chȃteau Lafon Rochet or Mosel’s J. J. Prüm), the new classics (South Africa’s Eben Sadie, anyone?), and everything that’s hot at the moment (a glass of Commando G or Radikon will set the evening on fire for sure!). Alternatively, you could laugh the whole evening by reading the names of and drinking so called wine flights – aimed to help discover different wine styles. How about “Orange is the new White”, “Indigenous White Bastard”, or “Everything happens for a Riesling”? Just go for it!
Pazzo Wine Bar is a wine lover’s place throughout - not overly long, providing great value, hitting all the right spots a wine lover could wish for – classics, young & hip regions, just the right mix between some bigger names and artisanal producers, different vintages and maturities, and most of all – FUN!
Not going into too much detail – start with checking out Pazzo’s Champagne list. It’s a perfect one-page Champagne list containing just right mix of growers, houses, terroirs, styles and vintages with values from €45 for Laherte Frères Ultradition to €890 for Bollinger’s VVF 2006. You know what? We’d drink every single bottle off that list! Cheers!
