Fotografiska is a recent addition to Tallinn’s dining & wining scene, and is actually a part of an internationally renowned photographic art center, which features state-of-the-art photo exhibition area and a restaurant. One of Estonia’s top chefs Peeter Pihel is heading the kitchen here claiming to serve “simple and honest food”. We’d say the same idea applies to Fotografiska’s well thought-out wine list – every selection seems to have a story behind it from classic producers to artisanal and rising-star growers all over the world. Our suggestion would be to rely on two super-experienced sommeliers – Marika Tikas and Els Maria – to help you find your own way through Fotografiska’s list.
Our choice: Don’t miss the ultra-rare Champagne Ulysse Colin Les Maillons Rosé de Saignée (€155) for starters. And then boost your evening with a very honest 2017 Atanasius from Gut Oggau (€61). Cheers!
