Created by Janno Lepik and Kristjan Peäske, a chef and a sommelier already known from Leib and Umami restaurants, LORE is a very addictive addition to Tallinn’s vibrant eatery scene. Located in Tallinn’s hot Kalamaja neighbourhood, Lore features “good old comfort-food classics with a new twist” and a short, but fun and superbly picked wine list.

Lore’s Champagne offer touches just the right buttons with a selection of in-the-know growers and the very tip of the leading houses and vintages. Its wine list is ruled not by geography, but by take-it-easy divisions with engaging names like “Light & Fresh”, “Mindblowing”, and “Easy to drink”. Wouldn’t you willingly like to waste your precious time in a place like this? We certainly would.

Our choice: Something from the “Fruit driven” section – 2018 Loosen Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Spätlese (€47), and a representative from “Fresh” section Tenuta delle Terre Nere Etna Rosso (€49)
