Moon is no stranger to Tallinn’s restaurant scene - headed by chefs Roman Zaštšerinski and Igor Andrejev, it’s been a regular at the “Estonian restaurant Guide” and “White Guide” awards. Moon’s modern Russian cuisine is complemented by one-of-a-kind wine list curated by the head somm Mikk Parre – the list is not too big, but contains an array of insightful selections all priced below 100€ (starting with 25€ a bottle). In fact, having seen plenty of Baltic wine lists over the years, let us declare that Moon’s list is an exemplary show-case of a value-driven wine list. That simply means you’ll drink well at Moon even with a limited budget. Good job, Moon, and welcome to Baltic Wine List Awards!
Currently: Restaurant Moon is currently closed for customers, although delivery and take-away service works every day from 11.30 to 19.30. They offer greatly reduced prices for food and especially for wine. Delivery works via Wolt and Bolt apps or wine delivery can be requested directly from the restaurant.
Our choice: We’d start the evening with MCC Graham Beck Rosé (€35), one of South Africa’s benchmark bubblies, then head to Piedmont with 2015 Renato Ratti Barbera d'Asti Battaglione (€49)! Cheers!
